Since 2006, the Reno Rodeo Foundation’s annual Denim Drive has been a beacon of hope for abused and neglected infants, children, and teens across 14 Northern Nevada counties. Thanks to our incredible community, we had a successful Denim Drive over the holidays, providing vital support to young lives rescued from unfit homes.

While the Holiday Denim Drive ran from November 11 through December 31, the Reno Rodeo Foundation supports these children 24/7, 365 days a year. Donations are needed and welcomed year-round to ensure we can continue meeting the growing needs of children in foster care.

In 2016, recognizing that children in foster care often require more than clothing—such as hygiene products, shoes, and other essentials—the Denim Drive shifted its focus toward monetary donations. This strategic change allows the Foundation to meet specific needs more effectively. Monetary contributions provide flexibility, enabling social workers and case managers to purchase items tailored to each child, fostering a sense of dignity and normalcy during traumatic times.

New clothing donations are still welcome and can be dropped off at the Reno Rodeo Foundation (please call 775.322.9875 to arrange a time to make your donation). To make supporting this program even easier, we have created an Amazon Wish List featuring essential and special request items that are regularly used and/or requested from our partners for these children. Each purchase from this wish list will be shipped directly to us for disbursement.

All clothing items collected in a particular county stay in that county (unless specified otherwise by the donor) and monetary donors have the option to direct their contributions to a specific county of their choice.
